Okay so it’s not a great movie, but who can forgo watching a good old fashion brawl? Not me…! I sort of miss the 80s ‘fight movies’ a little and this one certainly brought it back for me, though it is definitely an unlikely hybrid of the fight club and the Karate Kid.
I liked Cam Gigandet when I first saw him on The OC and always thought he was a kid with a future, but I think maybe he ought to try playing the good guy for a change or even take on deeper emotional roles. As for Sean Faris, I must say he has an uncanny resemblance to Tom Cruise, and he will certainly have a bright future ahead of him if he like Cam takes on more challenging roles.
If you like a little eye candy, want someone to cheer for, a dark handsome master and his ‘grasshopper’ and want the bad guy to lose…big time! Then this movie is for you…..just don’t go in with high expectations.
