I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your [...]

Although I didn’t write this…..wish I did….it still is something written for you! *winks*
Happy Birthday! Get Well Soon! And Quit!……..
Lots of Love………Your Brother…
Sister
Do I dare to compare your love
To the lighthouse engulfed in fog
Shining it’s beacon of light
That guides through stormy seas
Sister
Do I dare to compare your love
To the soft whispers carried on a breeze
As [...]

An old poem I wrote about 20 years ago…..
Love of my heart, lullaby of my dreams,
Intricately carved out of heaven’s beams,
Embraced by angels the one I adore,
Shall hear the harp of love play evermore,
Life holds no barriers for I do love you.

Rough winds brought you forth to me,
Warm blanket was your embrace,
Moments that would last a lifetime,
Time stood still as I gasped in awe,
December sailed to welcome the new year,
And my soul rejoiced to what lay ahead,
Music winged my feet as I danced with joy,
Yet my heart knew the beats would surely slow,
While love blossomed so [...]

Floating on the sea of melancholy,
I gaze upon a starlit night of hope,
Gentle winds blow away mine eyes folly,
Calm waters wrapped around like a warm robe,
Slowly I see heavens pathway appear,
Glowing amber to my absolution,
My mind’s at peace; Gone are feelings of fear,
With God’s grace I shall have my redemption,
Light shines through [...]

Love can soar to the highest pinnacle of ecstacy,
It can also crumble to the very depths of excruciating misery,
Love from deep within is inspiring, exhilarating even intoxicating,
But when it turns sour, the body and mind it will devour,
Leaving a tragic ending.

The wings of love embraced my feet,
Lifted me above four times high,
Fear echoed my lonely heartbeat,
Comfort crept to tell you were nigh,
A raging sea that now has lost,
Passion mirrors a fiery sky,
Burdened I live to count the cost,
Of fighting time I’m left to cry
Carry me forth and let me fly,
My Rose is now in full [...]

I painted a vibrant coloured picture,
Young maiden with a red rose in her hair,
Guided by unseen hands; Love my teacher,
When I finished was consumed with despair,
Cos I saw my masterpiece was fading!
Paint over? Risk losing what was special?
In deep sorrow I found myself wading,
Was this my life or just superficial?
Intense joy! I felt when I [...]

Mine eyes have seen an angel turn to Stone!
For silent lies fell upon silent lips,
In the valley of darkness a light shone,
Dimmed hopes faded away like passing ships,
Mine ears have heard the melancholy tune,
Of goodbyes and bitter sweet memories,
And yet a heart of stone still bears the wound,
Of pretty tales and mystic trickeries!

A pang shot through my very being today,
Windows of my soul saw warm pouring rain,
Pray time takes this burden swiftly away,
No more! Will my spirit ever be slain,
Truth whispered but I chose not to listen,
Played the fool too well and thus became one,
Cheers to new beginnings I doth christen,
Memories! No more words, deeds to be [...]

I am he who came knocking on your door,
Bearing gifts of which I left on the floor,
Your heart’s treasure chest is safe don’t you cry,
For whilst I love and care, I will not pry,
Since I’m of no help shan’t add to your woe,
I’ll take my leave now before I turn foe,
Goodbye my friend for you [...]

Although the seasons and the winds may change,
I will always hold you close to my heart,
And as the years pass and my hair turns grey,
I will always hold you close to my heart,
When I am bent and feeble senses fail,
I will always hold you close to my heart,
And on my dying bed with my last [...]
