57 Chevy

I was feeling a little out of sorts because I didn’t get to spend enough time at the beach yesterday. I had planned to gather my thoughts, sit and watch the waves, maybe soak in some sun and listen to some music. But the rain wouldn’t let up, in fact it added to the gloom I was feeling. At least it would hide the tears, had I any to shed.

One thing I’ve learnt over the years is that at a party you always put up a ‘front’ no matter how bad you were feeling on the inside. At that is what I did! It was fun to be amongst so many youngsters, but I seem to remember having more fun at their age? Perhaps it was the damn weather or they were still slowly getting to know one another better. Or was it that their idea of fun was playing their playstation or PSP games? Still overall I think everyone had a good time especially at the barbeque in the evening.

I left early because I had made prior arrangements with my sister to whisk me away, I needed a good distraction! And what a nice distraction indeed! She brought me to this cosy pub in Katong village which goes by the name of ’57 Chevy’. At first glance I read the signboard as ‘ST Chevy’ Lord knows I needed a Saint ha ha. The Pub has both a live band as well as a DJ. And well I couldn’t feel more at home with the music and dance. The Female bartender reminded me of the movie ‘Coyote Ugly’ but No she did not dance on top the bar counter. The waitresses were very much at home and would even dance if the music was right, now how cool is that? The crowd picked up as we were leaving and from what I was told, sometimes they would have need of security to stop more people from entering.

Thanks G! I had a great time! *hugs & kisses*

Just Tell Me You Love Me – England Dan amp John Ford Coley

Many times, I wished you were here,
Through the velvet shadows of my dreams
Many times, I wished you were near,
Through the darkness as it came but it seems
That you, you never said what I needed to hear
Just tell me you love me,
Whisper words I so long to hear
Let this time not be borrowed
Let it be ours to share,
If you tell me you love me
It would lead a way to your heart
Through the mirrors of silence, you love me
Quietly, I’ve waited,
For the memory born of our first kiss
Patiently, I’ve waited,
For the moment you would take me to word
That I, I’ve never seen that world before
Just tell me you love me
Whisper words I so long to hear
Let this time not be borrowed
Let it be ours to share
If you tell me you love me
It would lead a way to your heart
Through the mirrors of silence, you love me, you love me
