Ratatouille – Rat-Ta-Too-ee

It’s been a while since I truly enjoyed an animated cartoon movie! This is it! And I think Peter O’Toole deserves an award for his portrayal of the Food Critic Anton Ego.

Ratatouille was originally a peasant food, which is basically made up of or rather a combination of stewed vegetables. Kinda reminds me of our very own local ‘Kway Chap’ dish which once upon a time a peasant food too. But now it can actually get a tad expensive hee hee

Kway Chap

Teochew dish of flat, broad rice sheets in a soup made with dark soy sauce, served with pig offal, braised duck meat, various kinds of beancurd, preserved salted vegetables, and braised hard-boiled eggs.
