  1. Thanks for the comment Julian. I’ll link you too! 😉 Did you read the latest STOMP-approved entry? Catch ya around MSN (I Hope! 🙂 )

  2. Erm… All right Julian but I’m not sure what you’r asking! *sorry* What do you mean by edit? “to show the latest”? If you want me to un-link your WordPress, I’d gladly do it as a matter of respect to your privacy. …Thanks for the support; I hope this weekend will prove stress-free!

  3. Sorry for the late reply….What I meant was it looked a bit weird to have two links for the same person. Besides WordPress will have more entries even though some are identical to the one in blogspot dear, that is why I was suggesting that you just have the one ‘Julian’ link but to wordpress. 🙂 verletzt gustavklimt egonschiele

  4. Oh…. Thanks for the clarification! You amuse me…you clicked his link? No love…that isn’t me. You know I’d be more careful than that. 😉

    Take care.

  5. we will be going on the penang phuket cruise next month.

How are the prices inside the ship ?

  6. It depends on what you mean by prices? You can eat your fill for free at the Buffet Spread on Deck 12 or was it 13. Then there is the Chinese Rest (Pavillion) and the Western Food Rest (Bella Vista) which is also free, just need to slide your cabin cards. Some of the other paying ones can be a little pricey but you can check out the menu first which is usually placed at the entrances first.

The Blue Lagoon which operates 24hours is affordable, maybe a plate of chicken rice would costs approx. $7.50? I think.

Alcohol is at standard Bar prices or even slightly cheaper.

Hope that answers your question…. and have a great trip! 😉

  9. Hey Julian.. long time since I’ve been here. Good to see you’re still thinking and typing creatively.

Anyway, I know you’re someone who can appreciate the golden oldies so I wanted to contribute 2 songs to your blog, hoping you’ve heard them before and that it brings back some fond memories. They definitely brought me back to when I was a wee lad of 6 or 7 years old. Was thinking of setting up a blog just for the golden oldies but I didn’t think the response would be good.

    Here are the song:

To Know Him Is To Love Him by The Teddybears

    Making Believe by Emmylou Harris

  10. Thanks mate! Keeping it going and fresh is never easy…..

I’ve put this up as a post….thanks for the contribution. As for starting a blog for the golden oldies, I think it’s a great idea and besides you’ll never really know till you’ve tried. Pretty sure there’ll be a good response.

    *bear hugs*

  11. Happy happy happy birthday :D:D

Hope you have a great one!

  12. Thanks sweetie! *bear hugs*

  13. Julie,
I saw your name in my incoming links, so I’d just thought I’d say ‘Hello’
    Have a good day,

  14. Hello Bob,

nice of you to drop in….take care now….don’t get your knickers in a twist now 😆

    cheers mate!

  15. Just letting you know that the blogger in me has been resurrected.

  16. Yay! That’s great….still the same blog right? 😳

  19. try this book:

Anxiety disorders are astonishingly common. They include Panic, Phobias (including Agoraphobia and Social Phobia), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Generalised Anxiety Disorder. For many people self-help is a viable way forward and this is why we wrote our book Free Yourself from Anxiety. We aim to show you, step-by-step, how to set up and follow an individually tailored self-help programme.

Part one looks at lifestyle, because very often the way you live is contributing to Anxiety. By making simple changes you can get yourself fit and ready to tackle your Anxiety driven behaviours.

Part two shows you how to challenge your Anxiety in a safe controlled way, by setting small goals that take you gradually towards letting go of anxious behaviours.

Part three shows you how to recognise your anxious thinking, challenge it, and ultimately change it.

Part four explains how to delve into some of the deeper issues that may be driving Anxiety. We also suggest where it might be appropriate for you to seek professional help.

Our aim in this book is to be as comprehensive as possible. Each reader will be able to decide which aspects of the recovery programme they need to complete and which are not relevant to them. In addition we have only discussed proven safe techniques.

Throughout the book we have used the words of Anxiety sufferers who are in various stages of recovery to illustrate our points

    The authors

Emma Fletcher is a UK-registered counsellor with 20 years experience of helping anxiety sufferers and of training counsellors and volunteers on anxiety help-lines. She remains firmly committed to the self-help principle and believes that much of her work consists of giving her clients the tools to enable them to live more effectively. This book is an attempt to bring those tools to a wider audience.

Martha Langley is a professional writer and journalist. She has more than 10 years experience as a volunteer on helplines for people dealing with Anxiety and has also been a one-to-one mentor and recovery group leader. This has given her an insight into the difficulties faced by people trying to put self-help techniques into practice. Her aim in Free Yourself from Anxiety was to explain these techniques, to explain the reasoning behind them, and to make practical suggestions that will give every reader the best chance of recovery.

Free Yourself From Anxiety ISBN 978-1- 84528-311-7 is available from bookshops, book websites and Amazon.

    • Hi Martha,

  21. We are looking for copywright-free photos or images of Superheros—like that of Wonder Woman—to be used as decoration for The Miracle Party, Sept. 12, 2009,—which is a party for children wtih cancer. Our theme is Superheros. We would like to copy and enlarge the images to be used solely for decoration. Please reply to Ann White, 303-995-4407 or email ann@miracleparty.org
    Thank you~

    • Hi Ann,

if you want to do this officially then you’ll have to go through official channels depending on what images you want to use. If it is an in-house thing and the images are not sold for profit….well you know…

An alternative is to get your own artist friends to do their very own illustrations or images. You can also find some great pieces done by other artists who have their contact information on the web so you may want to contact them directly.

Sorry I cannot be of more help….and good luck!

      cheers. 🙂

  22. Hi Just to let you know you know that the nano gold and silver toothbrushes are available in all the Jusco supermarkets that located throughout JB. It cost only RM 5.50 per piece. It is even cheaper when they have the sales where i think 15% off the price. Taking into consideration, it is less than SGD 2.50 as compared to SGD 7.90. It is actually the same thing both in Malaysia and Singapore – I am so shocked that the local distributor had made such a huge profit margin

    • Thanks for the update mate! Cheers…

p.s. will have to make a trip there soon….

    • All the Giant hypermarts in JB are also selling the nano toothbrushes too.

If you are lucky, there are also some “make-shift” hawkers at the wet markets selling exact the same things. throughout Singapore.

I manage to get mine recently at Bukit Batok St.11 wet market at $2.00.

However in JB, there are more varieties such as charcoal nano, silver , gold, etc etc. I am really shocked that local polyclinics are selling so expensive almost 400%. Haiz Haiz

      • Oh ya. I dont mind to help you to purchase the toothbrushes at no additional cost from JB as I am often go to JB for grocery shopping.

Do let me if you need any assistance. Cheers

        • Thank you so much for your kind offer, but I’m staying in Woodlands and so it is quite convienient to head on to JB.

I just hope they are not knockoffs, the ones I bought lasted me very long without even losing it’s shape.

      • Hmmm makes you wonder eh?

  23. Dont worry. They are not knock-off. In fact they are there almost a year. You definately can find them in Jusco and Giant supermarkets unless they are out of stock. Oh ya pls recognise the bruttles cos at times their handles are different. Businessman are very cunning – they do all sort of things to mask the products. Actually they are the same things. I am still very sore about the high price that i paid especially POLYCLINICS where i thought the price suppose to be reasonable.

    • Well I feel cheated too because I paid the same price! Cheers!

  25. My name is David Meredith and I very recently came across your book blog. I have just released a novel – The Reflections of Queen Snow White – on Amazon.com in the Kindle Store this past October which is very much focused on coping with grief and would be happy to send you a complimentary copy if you would be interested in reviewing it. I have included the dust cover synopsis below. If you are interested, just reply to this e-mail and I will happily send you your free copy right away. Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response!

What happens when “happily ever after” has come and gone?
On the eve of her only daughter, Princess Raven’s wedding, an aging Snow White finds it impossible to share in the joyous spirit of the occasion. The ceremony itself promises to be the most glamorous social event of the decade. Snow White’s castle has been meticulously scrubbed, polished and opulently decorated for the celebration. It is already nearly bursting with jubilant guests and merry well-wishers. Prince Edel, Raven’s fiancé, is a fine man from a neighboring kingdom and Snow White’s own domain is prosperous and at peace. Things could not be better, in fact, except for one thing:
    The king is dead.
The queen has been in a moribund state of hopeless depression for over a year with no end in sight. It is only when, in a fit of bitter despair, she seeks solitude in the vastness of her own sprawling castle and climbs a long disused and forgotten tower stair that she comes face to face with herself in the very same magic mirror used by her stepmother of old.
It promises her respite in its shimmering depths, but can Snow White trust a device that was so precious to a woman who sought to cause her such irreparable harm? Can she confront the demons of her own difficult past to discover a better future for herself and her family? And finally, can she release her soul-crushing grief and suffocating loneliness to once again discover what “happily ever after” really means?
Only time will tell as she wrestles with her past and is forced to confront The Reflections of Queen Snow White.
